Today I turned my embroidery panel into a new peg bag. Using a pre made Hessian bag, some ribbon and lace. The panel was attached with a small blanket stitch.

January the 18th described as Blue Monday and the weather at least lived up to its name. In a somewhat desperate attempt to escape the winter cold chills I found myself on Pinterest, my favourite escape tool. I stumbled across a dig stamped image from http://www.brokenboxstock.com.

The image of warmer weather and washing blowing gently on a spring breeze immediately came to mind. So I decided to recreate the image but instead of paper crafting I traced the image onto fabric and stitched it instead. My first attempt at hand embroidery, since I left school, went rather well although I am unsure of how I will finish the piece for now maybe Pinterest will give me inspiration for that too.
